United Way of Marion County invites the community to wear your favorite football team apparel/colors to school or work on Friday, September 9.

Donate $5.00 to participate. Proceeds will benefit United Way of Marion County's efforts to promote health and wellness in our community.

United Way hopes to get 5,000 Marion County residents engaged in this awareness campaign. Our United Way will join thousands across the country as we celebrate the partnership that United Way has with the NFL and join efforts to end childhood obesity.

Participants will have the opportunity to win exciting prizes. Anyone who registers at www.UnitedWay.org/backtofootball is eligible for a chance to win a trip for two to Super Bowl XLV. There are also prizes for businesses and schools.

For more than 35 years, the NFL and United Way have been working together to strengthen America's communities, most recently by leveraging resources and relationships to raise awareness about the issue of childhood obesity and creating new opportunities for young people to lead healthier lifestyles.

NFL PLAY 60 encourages kids to play at least 60 minutes a day. Since the program launched in 2007, the NFL has committed more than $200 million to youth health and wellness through programming, grants and media time.
