2010 Pacesetters Campaigns

Currently there are 28 Marion County companies/organizations that have stepped forward to lead the way, or "set the pace," by being a United Way Pacesetter Campaign.  You could be one of them too.

Benefits of being a Pacesetter include:

  • Recognition as a distinguished leader in the community.
  • Identified as a forerunner at the community-wide kick-off.
  • Increased community recognition for your efforts through press releases, print ads, newsletters and annual report.
  • Specialized attention from volunteers.
  • Running your United Way campaign earlier in the year.

As a Pacesetter partner you agree to the following terms:

  • Attend the Pacesetter Campaign Kick-off on Tuesday, July 13 and community wide kick-off in September.
  • Conduct your campaign during the months of July and August. (Payroll deduction starts in January 2011)
  • Strive to exceed your 2009 campaign results.
  • Utilize Best Practices.
  • Send your Employee Campaign Manager to a Campaign Learning Workshop on July13 following the Pacesetter kick-off.
  • Allow United Way to share your company's fundraising strategies with other supporters.

If you are interested in being a Pacesetter or have any questions please contact Tina Banner at 732-9696 or at tbanner@uwmc.org
