Ocala, Fla. (December 1, 2009) --- United Way of Marion County will hold the 17th Annual Day of Caring on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010. Day of Caring offers businesses, individuals, organizations and civic clubs the opportunity to help local nonprofit human service agencies accomplish much-needed projects during one day of organized volunteerism.

Volunteer work teams who are interested in participating or community organizations that have projects that need to be completed can fill out an application at www.uwmc.org. The deadline for team and project applications is Monday, December 21, 2009.
