United Way of Marion County is accepting applications from high school students who are interested in participating in the Youth United Way program. Youth United Way provides a forum for local youth to develop leadership skills and demonstrate the importance of youth civic involvement as a key component of community change. Applicants need to be entering their junior year of high school in the fall of 2010 and have a grade point average of 2.5 to apply. Applications can be downloaded at www.uwmc.org. Application deadline is Friday, May 7, 2010.
