ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Marion County Resident
 
 
 At or below 80% of the area median income
 
 
 Experienced hardship during COVID-19
 
 
 Provide a valid form of ID

HOW TO APPLY AS A TENANT:

Registration (1 OF 2)
Visit www.marion-cap.com.
Click “Tenant Registration
Provide your name, email, address, and preferred language.
 
Registration (2 OF 2) 
Check your email and click the link in the Step 1 confirmation email. 
Provide additional information as necessary.
Provide your landlord and utility information to complete registration.
• Once these steps are accomplished you will have your place in line. 
 
Full Application
When you receive your email invitation to submit your Full Application, visit your personal Applicant Portal to access the Full Application. 
Complete and submit your Full Application.
 
 
Document Uploads
Go to your Applicant Portal to upload verification documents such as Identification, income sources, lease, utility statement, etc.
 
 
Verification Review
Respond to your case manager as soon as possible when you receive a call, text or email requesting clarification. 
Continue to review the status of your application through your application portal.
 
Grant Generation 
Look for your ERA grant approval notice by email.
Read your grant agreement for accuracy.
Sign the grant agreement online.
 
 
Payment
Check your application portal to confirm your landlord and utility have been paid.
 
 

As a Marion County Landlord, your tenants may be eligible for rent and/or utility assistance through the CAP Program. Households are eligible to receive assistance for financial obligations incurred after March 2020 and must be at or below 80% of the average median income.  Please encourage tenants you believe may be eligible to apply.  Eligible Hhouseholds may are eligible to receive assistance for financial obligations incurred after March 2020, and may receive up to 3 months future rent and utilities

If your tenants are eligible for funding, they will be required to select a registered landlord who will be the direct recipient of the rent payments. s. To help speed the application and payment process, we are asking Marion County landlords to take a few minutes to register. To register as a Landlord click HERE

Qualifying individuals/families are urged to apply.  Applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis, and are required to be distributed by December 30, 2021.
