With a background as a paralegal, I chose to become a “work from home Mom” while raising my sons. I began a legal and medical transcriptionist business from home, which allowed me to work around my children’s school and extracurricular activities (who needs sleep when you’re in your 30’s?). Going back out into the workforce, I worked as the office manager for a real estate brokerage. I joined the staff of United Way in 2007 as the Executive Assistant to the President and VP of Finance, later becoming the Resource Development Manager. Since 2015 I have been the Office Manager, where I truly feel I found my niche. Even after twelve years, it’s always a good day at United Way!
