Who We Are

Your Local United Way, Focused on Local Community Needs.

United Way of Marion County works to create a thriving community where adults and children achieve their full potential. From strengthening local resilience to advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security, United Way is mobilizing communities to action so all can thrive.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: mobilizing local resources to action to help our neighbors thrive. We connect our community with the tools and support needed to reduce poverty, strengthen families, and create pathways to a better life. We envision a community where every person has what they need, not just to get by, but to truly thrive.

True to our founding spirit, United Way of Marion County shows up whenever our neighbors need us most, ensuring resources are allocated where they have the greatest impact.

We focus on the most pressing challenges across four key areas: healthy community, youth opportunity, financial security, and community resilience.

Together, we’re mobilizing our community to action—convening coalitions, supporting nonprofit partners and internal initiatives, and measuring real results. United, we create opportunities that uplift individuals, strengthen families, and build a thriving community for all.
